Access Our Direct primary care practice model allows us to be there for you when you need us. No matter what time of the day or part of the week and we will be there in the way that is most convenient for you; whether that is in the office, on the phone, text, or video chat. Providing great care is our passion and being there for you is an important part of that.
No Rush Time, discussion and listening are the hallmark traits of a genuine relationship. Appointments at Living Well Family Medicine are not measured in terms of ‘profit’ or ‘loss’ as is defined by conventional corporate health care systems, but rather by what’s best for the patient including meaningful, positive outcomes and the quality of the doctor/patient relationship. You will not feel hurried. You will have the time to discuss all your health concerns.
Value Here in New England, quality, hard, work at an honest, fair price is what our communities are built on. We understand the importance of good value for our hard earned dollars. LWFM’s direct primary care model has been developed on these principles. As a matter of fact, pricing is remarkably affordable for the high quality care we provide. We also value transparent pricing, in fact, our pricing is right here on our website under the services and pricing menu. Living Well Family Medicine has also negotiated extremely favorable pricing for many hospital-related services should patients require additional out-of-house testing.
Experience Dr. Gerchman has 22+ years of family practice experience, all but one year serving in the state of Maine. He has numerous awards and peer recognition achievements including being the 2016 recipient of The Maine Family Physician of the Year, the 2014 recipient of The Bridgton Hospital HEROES Award, The Patient Choice Award (determined from patient surveys) and The Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award, to name a few.
Dr. Gerchman is a second-generation Family Physician who has practiced in the communities of Western Maine for over 20 years. Over the course of more than two decades, he has grown to love the community and the people who live here.
In recent years, Dr. Gerchman has found that the current health care model prevents and, worse, does not even prioritize meaningful relationships with patients. The current model undermines the kind of doctor-patient relationship he learned from his father’s practice and implemented into his own approach to medicine upon moving to Maine.
It was this loss that inspired him to take the leap into Direct Primary Care. Living Well Family Medicine and Dr. Gerchman’s mission is to build a direct relationship with patients who are looking to partner with their doctor to receive the best care possible.
